Production Techniques

Shot reverse shot; Consistes of sequence of three shots. The first shot is of the person face. The second shot is what the person is looking at (either person or object). The final shot is the person again where we process how that person feels about what they have looked at.

180 degree rule; Is a rule for filming which makes sure that two charactors in the same scene should always have the same left and right relationship between them. If the camera passes over the imagenary line, its called crossing the line.

Match on Action; Is a technique used to connect to differnt views of the same action at the same moment. By matching the two shots it gives the impression that the motion continues. The movement should start in the first shot and end in the second.
